MURATA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") has established a privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") to protect and properly handle personal information collected by the Company from customers (hereinafter referred to as "Users") who use the GATEN manual service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by the Company.
Article 1 (Personal Information)

Personal information also includes information that cannot be used to identify an individual by itself, but can be easily matched with other information to identify the individual as a result.

For the purposes of this Policy, the personal information we collect refers to information the User enters on the Company's website (hereinafter referred to as the "Site") and smartphone application (Hereinafter referred to as the "Application") when you use the Service, as well as other information the User provides in connection with the Service.
Article 3 (Purpose for Using Personal Information)
The Company will use the personal information obtained for the following purposes
1) To provide and to operate the Service
2) To distribute information regarding other services provided by the Company
3) To accurately ascertain opinions and inquiries regarding the Company's services and to respond to them

5) To confirm the identity of the user in question, which is necessary when responding to a request for disclosure of personal information from the user.
6) To settle charges for the use of this service and to collect late fees, etc.

1) When there are restrictions as stipulated in Article 23, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
2) When taking necessary action, including legal action, in response to a user's violation of the Terms of Use.
3) When disclosing information to corporations or individuals to whom we outsource or partner with in order to provide services requested by the user.
4) With the consent of the user.
Article 6 (Accuracy of Personal Information)
The user is responsible for ensuring that the personal information is accurate and up-to-date at the time it is provided.
Article 7 (Change and Deletion of Personal Information)
We will not change the user's personal information without permission. In addition, if a user requests to stop using this service, we will stop using the user's personal information thereafter.
2. If a User wishes to have their personal information deleted, please contact the Company in accordance with the Company's prescribed procedures.
Article 8 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
If a user requests disclosure of his/her personal information, we will comply with the request without delay. However, we may not disclose all or part of the information in the following cases
1) When there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the User or a third party.
2) If there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper conduct of the Company's business.

Article 9 (Regarding Sound and Video Recording)
In order to accurately understand and respond to requests and demands, we may record the content of telephone conversations with customers. Recorded personal information will be deleted as soon as there is no longer a need to use it.
Article 10 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
Except as otherwise provided by law, the Company may change this policy from time to time by public notice on the Site and the Application without the prior consent of the User.
